Exhaustification

Whew! That's all I can say - whew! It was one long-ass patriotic holiday. Jesus!

Kitten and I went to the pool late yesterday morning - big step for me, since I don't wear anything that could remotely be construed as swimming gear out in public. It was actually pretty nice - K had a great time and the place wasn't too crowded.

After our jaunt to the pool, we went home, and fell asleep watching part of the Twilight Zone marathon that Sci-Fi ran pretty much all weekend (incidentally, this marathon is one of my most favorite things ever of all time). Later that evening, we drove to pick up C-Rex and then headed over to Manny's dad's house for a cookout. Six packages of sparklers, three bowls of strawberry shortcake, one rather skimpy fireworks show, and half a bag of cotton candy later, we arrived home at 11 PM and I was ready to die of exhaustion and eating too much sugar.

But it was fun, in some sort of an all-American way.
